Steps to Change Photo in Aadhaar Card Online
If you change photo in Aadhaar through this process, it may be easier than the offline process. When you go through the offline process, you might face a long queue at the Aadhaar center, and may take time to process your request at the center. But if you choose the online process, it will be an easy, convenient, and time-saving process. Let’s understand how you can do it.
Step 1: First, open the official website UIDAI. Scroll down the page and click on Book Appointment. Select City/Location and Click on Proceed to Book Appointment.
Step 2: Now you will have three options – Aadhaar Update, New Aadhaar, and Manage Appointment. You need to click on Aadhaar Update.
Step 3: Enter your mobile number, and captcha code and click on Generate OTP. Now enter the OTP received by you on your registered mobile number and click on Verify OTP.
Step 4: Now you will be redirected to the Appointment details page. Now enter your Aadhaar number, Name as per Aadhaar, Select State, Select City, select Aadhaar Seva Kendra, and click on Next.
Step 5: Now you will have personal details page where you will have options of Name, Gender, New Mobile Number, Email ID, Address, Date of Birth, and Biometric (Photo/Iris/Fingerprint). You click on the option of Biometric and click on Next. After clicking on Biometric, it will show the charges of Rupees 100.
Step 6: After it, you will have a calendar page where you need to select a Date and Time to book your appointment. After selecting the date and time, click on Next.
Step 7: Now you will have your details. Check it and click on Submit. A popup window will appear to confirm. Click on Ok to confirm.
Step 8: Select the payment mode as Online and process the payment. The charge to change the photo in Aadhaar is rupees 100.
Step 9: After processing your payment, an Aadhaar update form/Slip will appear. Just download this form and take a printout of it.
Step 10: Visit the Aadhaar enrolment center according to your appointment. Your biometric will be taken and the photo will be clicked on the center and they will process your request. After completing all the formalities, take the acknowledgment slip from the center.
